MAYOR VERNARD L. ALSBERRY JR. WINS THE SEAT AS THE DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEEMAN FOR BREMEN TOWNSHIP

Mayor Vernard L. Alsberry Jr. was a write-in candidate for Bremen Township Democratic Committeeman during the April 2018 Gubernatorial Primary Elections. He overwhelmly won the election with nearly 1,000 votes; a far margin over his opponent, Lisa Evans. The voters rewarded his experience and the strong leadership role he has displayed in the Southland.

Mayor Alsberry has been involved in the Bremen Township Regular Democratic Organization (BTRDO) for over 20 years. He works to ensure that our local, county and state leaders recognize and support Bremen Township and the southland. He has galvanized voter turnout and works to unite the Democratic Party.

The carefully selected board for Bremen Township Regular Democratic Organization consists of Committeewoman Carolyn Carter, President Marlon Rias, First Vice President Joseph G. Bertrand Jr., Second Vice President Mayor James Ford (CCH), Sergeant-At-Arms Mayor Roger Agpawa (Markham), Secretary Debbie Stern and Treasurer Diane Alsberry.

A GET OUT THE VOTE RALLY hosted by BTRDO Committeeman, Mayor Alsberry and his board, led to a successful November 2018 Election.

Elected officials, along with nearly 100 attendees, were energized about encouraging voters to support the democratic party for the November 2018 election. The polls showed that this election
was one of the highest turn-outs in Bremen Township in years. The March 2018 primary election resulted in a 29% voter turnout, while the November 2018 voter turnout results were up to 56%. Great job to BTRDO.
